Each of our tours is quite different in the amount of effort needed. Some are meant to include only a couple hours of cycling, with the rest of your time exploring local shops, beaches, and towns, such as the
Bay des Chaleurs tours. Others, such as the
Maritime Highlights, are meant to give you a feeling of satisfying exhaustion at the end of the day. For tours such as the
Bay des Chaleurs, we recommend going for a couple of rides a week prior to participating, even if just for 10 to 15 km. This will help your body to adjust to sitting on a bicycle seat, and make your tour more comfortable.
For tours such as the
Maritime Highlights we recommend a few rides of 20-25 kms each week, along with a longer weekend ride, starting at 60 km and working your way up to 120 km. If you are interested in us helping to design a more detailed training plan for you prior to a tour, we would be more than happy to help.
