Keenan Cook Salar de Uyuni
Adventure Cycle Experience Ltd was founded in 2011 by Keenan Cook, a resident of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Keenan has planned and ridden over 20,000 km of cycle touring, including an epic Canada to Argentina tour, named the “ride for HOPE” in which he and his brother rode from Alberta to Buenos Aires, Argentina, raising over $50,000 for HOPE International. More information can be found on their website www.rideforhope.ca. As well, Keenan organized Capital to the Coast 2011, a ride from Ottawa to Halifax that raised over $1500 for Kiva micro-loans.

Having ridden a bicycle through 13 different countries, Keenan has seen a lot a beautiful places - but he is proud to call New Brunswick his home. Canada's Maritime Provinces are some of the most beautiful, welcoming, and endearing places on earth. With compact sizes and stunning scenery abounding, this is the ideal place to show off. In putting together these tours, we've
spent the time looking after all the little details to offer a smooth tour so that you can fully enjoy the experience. We pride ourselves in the personal attention we give to every one of the cyclists on tour, with 2 guides on every tour and an experienced cycle touring staff, second to none. We know that you're coming to us for a holiday, and we want to give you a relaxed, enjoyable holiday. If there's anything we can do to make a tour more enjoyable for you, we'd love to do it.

Keenan has a love for cycling and travelling, as well as a passion for getting involved in international development projects. For this reason, he became involved in the Bicycles for Humanity project, a global non-profit organization dedicated to empowered disadvantaged individuals in developing countries by giving them access to one of the best forms of transportation available - a bicycle. Keenan founded the New Brunswick chapter of Bicycles for Humanity, and every participant in a Maritime Cycle Tour is given the opportunity to raise funds for Bicycles for Humanity. We believe the world would be a better place if we all committed to 'do some good', and enshrined this principle as one of our four pillars. Adventure Cycle Experience is dedicated to not only giving you the best value and personalized cycling holiday, but also that we'll make a difference for those in need in the process. You can find out more about Bicycles for Humanity here on our website, or at www.b4h-newbrunswick.org, which we encourage you to check out!

"With minimal biking experience, we booked our camping/cycling trip with Adventure Cycle Experience. We were in various stages of fitness, but all had extensive experience camping.

IMPRESSIVE!! We were not even close to being disappointed! Organized, positive, encouraging, and fit individuals--Keenan and Paul were very flexible and adaptable to the needs of a very diverse group. On day 1, we all received our own package, done day by day, of our route. We had been asked ahead of time for our likes and dislikes in food and they listened--healthy, fabulous meals for bottomless pits--shish-ka-bobs, quinoa salad, fresh fruit salads, oatmeal....lots of items that we asked for! Cold fresh water was always available. Campsites were diverse and spectacular--think the ocean close by, cliffs, sunsets, seals.....A variety of cycling routes--hills to climb, hills to cruise down, flats, villages, "cottage country", ocean, lakes..and best of all, routes where locals always gave you a wide berth, with a friendly wave! If you needed a rest--read: ride in the van--no problem. Or one of them would bike with you, to encourage you on. Lots of thought and passion put into this company!--see the Four Pillars, Bikes4Humanity, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

"I went on two trips this summer with Adventure Cycle Experience, Cabot Trail B&B and Prince Edward Island (Camping), and I had a great time on both of them!  The trips were well organized, and the two guides  (Keenan and Paul) were very friendly, flexible and safety conscious.  The scenery on both tours was spectacular (especially on Cabot Trail), the roads were good for biking and the accommodations and camping were comfortable.  I was also impressed with the food (both meals and snacks) and Keenan and Paul were very accommodating to specific requests."
